“Animals are near and dear to my heart,
and I’ve devoted my life to trying to improve their lives.” — Betty White
Do you think laughter is the best medicine? Do you tend to like animals better than people? Do you approach life with a glass-half-full attitude? If you answered “yes” to any of these, then it’s safe to assume that you loved and admired the late, great Betty White. We did, too. That’s why we’ve created the WCHS Mend Me Fund in her honor, to provide help to animals in need of above-average care, treatment, and support. From now until January 17th (what would have been her 101st birthday) all gifts made to the Mend Me Fund will help pets like:
Bo, a 2-year-old heartworm-positive shelter dog in need of lifesaving treatment to rid his heart of worms
Neptune and Casper, two cats that needed immediate surgery to end their painful dental complications
Horus, a handsome puppy who can’t stand or walk without his knees giving out…unless he receives surgery on both affected legs
When the barrier to “happily ever after” is a heartworm diagnosis, an emergency surgery, or months of physical therapy, will you be there to lend a helping hand and be the friend they need?
Help an animal in honor of Betty White by contributing:
$19.22 in honor of the year Betty was born
$26 for the 26 dog companions she loved in her lifetime
$61 for her combined 31 acting awards and 30 additional nominations
$120 in acknowledgement of her total acting credits, shows, and appearances
Your gift - any amount - helps a sick or injured pet get the extra care they need.
If you prefer to send your gift in the mail, checks or cash can be directed to WCHS, PO Box 397, Brattleboro, VT 05301. Please note “Mend Me Fund” in the memo.
