It’s been nothing but drama lately. The dogs and cats are arguing. We explained to them that with inflation and oil costs, money will be tight this winter. “We have to conserve as much as we can,” we said. They have no concept of this! The dogs howled and the cats let out their longest meeeeows. 

The pups begged us to budget enough paw-safe salt so they can still enjoy the outdoors without painful paw pads. "How immature!" said the cats. "We shouldn't be punished just because we're bright enough to use the bathroom indoors. We want the heat maintained at 70-degrees so we can stay warm and snug all season!" The bickering continued, neither side yielded, and the tension only broke when we announced, "I think it's time for dessert!"
