Our Partners and Supporters
WCHS could not exist without the generous support of our community members, local businesses, corporations, and foundations.
A new Breed of Business Support
WCHS's Business Paw-tner Program is a unique combination of marketing and event recognition designed to "fetch" community-minded consumers who value companies like yours – businesses that strive to keep the place in which we live vibrant and humane. Paw-tners are companies with a longstanding commitment to the community and concern for the community’s well-being – that’s YOU!
Partners share WCHS’s belief that the way we treat animals reflects the health of our community. Your support makes it possible for WCHS to help close to 3,000 pets and the people that love them, every year.
Paw-tners receive:
Recognition and representation at WCHS events
Coverage in weekly emails to 10,000 supporters
Mention on social media channels (16,000 followers)
Inserts in go-home packets for 3,500 WCHS adopters and clients

Community Good Program: Feel Good Doing Good
A significant source of funding for the programs and services we provide to pets and their people comes from small local companies that sponsor events, host fundraisers, and donate or give goods/services.
Listed below is a “menu” of ways your company can make a difference in the lives of pets and people! Pick one or more of the offerings based on what feels suitable for you.
Donate Goods or Services
Donate gift cards to one of our auctions. This year we expect to have an online auction, two basket raffles, and possibly WCHS’s beloved Wags auction. All companies/donors will be thanked during the auction/event period.Gift cards and gift certificates always bring more than their face value! A $50 gift card for an area restaurant – Yes. Season tickets to the theater - Yes! A night at a local B&B with breakfast – Yes!
Baskets valued at $15-$50 always do well. Popular baskets ideas include: Local beer. Wine. Kids games.
Donations of specific physical items need to be discussed to ensure we can store and transport the item and confirm universal appeal to our attendees.
Hold a Fun-Raiser
Many companies coordinate with their employees and clients to raise money for the animals. They do this through various activities they organize, oversee, and promote. Examples include:One company provides a bi-annual discount to clients who give them cash donations for the shelter.
A local company holds several “denim days” for $5 per employee.
Set up a fundraiser on Facebook.
Sign up and fundraise for the Walk for Animals as a team.
Fund a Specific Cause
Each of the below unique campaigns is designed to engage the public. Each one comes with company recognition on social media, event/program materials, and in email(s) to donors.Company featured during Summer-long Heat Awareness Campaign. Includes signage & PSA material.
Sponsors 15 spays/neuters for pet owners or caretakers facing financial difficulties.
Sponsor 50+ vaccines (Rabies, Distemper) for pets owned by neighbors facing financial difficulties.
Make Your Year a Combo!
Donate a gift card or basket. Host an event. And/or fund a particular project. Let us know how you want to help, and we can work together to make it happen.

Our Adoption Advocate Pawtnership!
Whether it’s a cat with special needs or a dog that’s constantly passed over, Brattleboro Auto Mall is dedicated to helping shelter pets find the right forever home. As our sole Adoption Advocate Pawtner, Auto Mall helps give pets in need an “advertising boost” online, putting their faces in front of more pet-loving people!
In 2015, Brattleboro Auto Mall generously donated a van to WCHS. This has helped tremendously by allowing us to safely and reliably transport animals. Thank you, Brattleboro Auto Mall, for helping save lives!

DONATION BANKS
Without the generous support of our community and local businesses, WCHS would not be able to offer the animals in our care a second chance at happy, healthy lives. Many businesses throughout the Southern Vermont community graciously host our donation banks. Each time you donate to our banks, your contribution allows us to provide shelter, food, medicine, and veterinary care for animals in need.
Following is a list of our current community donation bank partners. We thank all of them for their support!
